Hello, I am Jade.
As a child I had vision others did not and learned early not to share it. I spent as much time outdoors as I could engaging with the Spirit life of nature. My parents and friends assumed I had a ‘good imagination’, because they couldn’t see what I saw.
Eventually I came to believe it was all just my imagination also, until I got a job with a lady who would open my mind so that I could understand everything I had been experiencing my whole life.
It was early on in my career, 1990, that I was introduced to an “alternative healing modality” called Therapeutic Touch as a method to assist Hospice patients with pain relief and terminal restlessness. For those who don’t know, Therapeutic Touch, is a professionally palatable offspring of Reiki, and cousin to Healing Touch.
The first time I sat with someone suffering at the end of their life and I used the techniques she showed me, it was magical. The woman’s agitation and labored breathing disappeared. A creased worried look on her face replaced with peace. Her gasping breath, slowed and softened.
The first few times I thought it was just coincidence, but time after time the effectiveness was unquestionable.
Living in a world that values certifications, I went on to receive training in Therapeutic Touch and Reiki, then combined this with my knowledge of crystals, QiGong, intuitive healing and meditation to develop my own unique signature on these modalities. I even became an ordained minister and certified first responder chaplain. My last step was completing training as a Full Mesa Shaman.
Despite all the training, t has been my personal, intuitive, hands-on practice of energy healing that has had the greatest impact on my life and my path.
These are but a few of the anecdotes to illustrate the vast array of possibilities working with me.
My Daughter
In 1993 after a miscarriage followed by a high-risk pregnancy, I gave birth, prematurely, to a daughter. Three months later my daughter was diagnosed with a ‘mass in her umbilicus’ and surgery was imminent. The plan was to take another image in 30 days to see how fast it was growing to determine if we could wait until she was 6 months older to do the surgery.
As a new mother, frantic about doing whatever I could to help my daughter, I pulled out the training I had had three years earlier. If therapeutic touch could help terminal people with their pain, maybe I could use it as a lazer to obliterate the mass. It was 1993, and no one was talking about energy healing the way they do now. It was really just looked at as a ‘relaxation’ and ‘stress management’ technique.
I simply followed my intuition, and every chance I got, I flooded her abdomen with healing light. Every diaper change, every bath and every time she fell asleep on my chest, I channelled her light energy into her little form.
31 days later we returned to Chicago Children’s Memorial Hospital where she’d had her first scans and they repeated the scans. We waited patiently in the room for an hour and a half which had us concerned. Finally, they brought our daughter back and the doctor returned, apologizing for the lengthiness. I still remember his face as he spoke. He said, ‘We can’t explain it, but the mass is gone. These things don’t just go away on their own, but it’s gone. And we know it was there because we have the images. We saw it. So, just take your miracle home.’
From then on energy healing has been a part of my daily life, in fact, 15 months later there would be another crisis to remedy. She was 18 months old, breathing rapidly (40x per min we would later be told), and had a temp of 103. She was admitted directly to the pediatric intensive care unit where she was diagnosed with pneumonia and given antibiotics. She did not improve. After 3 days she was still not improving and we were told there was nothing else to be done but hope she can fight this on her own. Each day I had been using energy healing as I sat by her bedside, and while she wasn’t getting worse, she wasn’t getting better either. So I called upon the unseen world for the very first time not realizing then that it was my very first shamanic intervention.
I called upon the healing spirits and almost immediately saw them line the room around the ceiling. These were angelic faces of cherubs, loving mother-type women and archangel appearing men. I asked them to heal my baby as they saw fit and then I laid down next to her crib and fell into a deep sleep.
When I opened my eyes the next morning, my baby was sitting up, looking at me, bright as a button, smiled and said ‘hi Momma!’ and I broke down in tears. I called the nurse in and as she was talking to my daughter she said ‘Welcome back. We didn’t think you were going to make it.’
For many years, I worked on just family and friends, co-workers, and the occasional friend of a friend.
Fertility Support For A Friend
I was blessed with being able to assist my best friend in conceiving her only child when IVF alone was not working as we’d all hoped. Through ultrasound her ovaries were not responding as they should after the IVF shots. We did a session and we both experienced a ‘popping’ sensation when I worked on her ovaries. She described the feeling like popcorn popping. I felt something very similar on my end. At her next ultrasound appointment the doctor noted that her ovaries had quadrupled in size since our session and she got pregnant during that cycle.
When her baby was born at 20 weeks with a brain bleed, I worked on her in the NICU a couple times. Despite a more than one grade 3 brain bleed the child has grown into an adult with no adverse affects.
Benefits Of Dating A Healer
One gentleman I was dating was very interested in what I do and asked if I’d demonstrate. I put him on my table and did just a brief session.
I discovered a blockage in his ankle and allowed Spirit to guide me, as always. When I finished we talked about what it felt like to him and then we set off to dinner. We were out the door, walking to the car, when he realized that the limp he had for the last 10 years was gone.
He had been left with the limp after a work incident, where his ankle had been pinend between a concrete wall and a forklift. His foot was almost completely severed and it was a miracle his foot was even saved let alone walking on it..
He was grateful to be walking with that limp and had accepted it as a symbol of his survival. Removing the trauma stored in his ankle, released the trapped energy and enabled him to walk without a limp from then on.
Not Everyone Is Ready For The Miracle
While working in hospice, the Director was diagnosed with colon cancer. After she had surgery I offered a session to promote her healing. She was the one who had authorized my request to go for certification in Therapeutic Touch a couple years earlier. I wanted her to see what she had invested the company’s money in. She found the session relaxing and shared with me what she experienced. Its always interesting for me to hear what others experience when I work on them.
A couple years later she surprised me by asking to book an appointment with me. During her session I came upon a blockage I couldn’t clear. This had never happened to me before and as the blockage was located in her abdomen, I suggested she see her doctor. After that, we never talked. In fact, it felt like she was avoiding me.
Her very close friend, our Director of Patient Care, would later reveal to me that her cancer had returned and that my finding it ‘freaked her out’. I do not know what course of treatment occurred after that for her, but I do know she is still alive and well as of this writing.
Divine Intervention
I walked into the facility room to do my initial assessment on our newest hospice admission. It was a Monday and she had been admitted over the weekend. I walked in to find a woman in great distress. She did not open her eyes for me, had a pained look upon her face and was very restless. I called the RN for an update. What she described was not what I was looking at. She described someone alert and oriented, whom she anticipated would be with us for a few months. I advised the nurse to add this patient to her day because I felt she was actively dying and that I would see what I could do to provide emotional, physical and energetic comfort to her until the RN got there.
As I began to work with her, her breathing relaxed, her face softened and she appeared more physically comfortable. I kept going. As I finished up and sat next to her bed with soft music playing, she opened her eyes, sat bolt upright with a big smile on her face and reached her arms straight out and then appeared to embrace someone. She laid back down with her arms still crossed in that embrace, and slowly stopped breathing.
Unexpected Journey
If I had to pick the most miraculous miracle it would have to be this most unexpected journey.
She is the oldest sister of my first best friend. I didn’t know her well as she was about 10 years older than we were, and moved out of her childhood home as a young adult.
My first best friend and I reconnected via social media and had chatted once or twice. Four years ago she called me and asked if I might be willing to help her sister. Of course I would.
We began talking once a week and she expressed the unbearable grief of losing her second daughter. Both daughters had been fully grown adults living their own independent lives at the times of their deaths four years apart.
The grief, for this mother, was mixed with shame, guilt and regret for her imperfections as a mother, and as a human being. We worked hard until it became too much for her and she ended our sessions and devolved. She had what felt like a breakdown, but was really a breakthrough.
I kept checking in on her and nudging her to pick up our sessions once again. One day she said yes. This time Spirit inspired me to add in some Shamanic healing sessions along with our talk sessions. She became like a flower opening her face to the sun.
Our journey together started with working with her active grief, and evolved unexpectedly to working on codependency, and currently working on spiritual development. She is now finding herself in situations where she is able to help her own family and friends using her new skills and insights.
Sacred Medicine Vs Traditional Therapies
While traditional therapy and other allopathic modalities require a problem to solve, Sacred Medicine is used to remedy ailments but also to facilitate and support spiritual, emotional, mental and physical wellbeing and development.
The most beautiful part of Sacred Medicine is how it complements traditional Western Medicine and modalities. One does not have to choose between seeing a Doctor/Therapist or a Healer.
I could not be more grateful for my path and who I have become through the process. Spirit has made it clear, this is the time for me to step into this role for the community, not just family and friends.
If you are reading this, it might be Spirit nudging you to make your appointment today.
